In this TedTalk, I raise awareness about my leg condition, Lymphedema as very few people, including doctors, know about it. It is fairly common, as it affects 140 million people in the world, however the knowledge about it is extremely limited.
My leg condition was always something that I was embarrassed about, but giving the TedTalk on it really pushed me out of my comfort zone. It not only taught me to accept who I am, the way I am, but also allowed me to improve my public speaking skills. Within the talk, I also incorporated some discussion on body image and stereotypes against a woman's perfect body. This goes hand-in-hand with all of my other works in my collection, as they all include a topic that is most personal and applicable to me.
